a little background on the blog name...
A little background on the title, my late husband Herb was a Jew. His father, Samuel and his mother, Alice were as different as night and day. Samuel used to say to Alice, "Alice, we are like horse shit and glue. "Together forever", and they were.
Samuel owned a candy store and Alice, his wife was a travel agent. They never owned a car, hardly any one did or for that matter still does in the Bronx. Alice would take subways and taxi's to get to work.
